So we decided to take all of Nolan's LEGO's and see how many he actually had. Needless to say, he's got a few. He's been collecting Lego for almost 2 years and it probably wont end anytime soon. Here's a few pic's....and bask in the memories!

Just like the title says, our hard work finally paid off!! Last weekend Shila and her mother went to Vancouver for the anual Taco Time Canada Convention. To our surprise, we took home 2 awards. The first was our 3rd consecutive Golden Cactus Award and the 2nd was the big daddy, FRANCHISEE OF THE YEAR. It only took 4 years and we got it. This is Brenda's second in almost a 30 year span. So, we are proud of our work that we have put into the store and are glad to see the recognition. Yahoo!

Haley was baptized on March 27, 2010. It was a great day and a wonderful ceremony. The spirit was so strong as it always is with the little ones. Thanks to everyone who helped and for coming and supporting Haley. For all those away, we know your prayers were with her.

Band trip

Shaelyn has been playing alto sax now for 3 years. She had a concert band trip to Penticton/Kelowna B.C. Shila and I went to watch for 3 days and have some time away. Its about a 5-6 hr drive from Cranbrook and is absolutely beautiful country. The highways are lined with fruit orchards and vineyards, although right now, its just a lot of leafless sticks. Here's a few pics.

Thanks to Grandma DeEtte for making Haley's poodle skirt and outfit. Haley had her first Daddy/Daughter date on the 17th of February for Acheivement Night. Scott and Haley had great time as it was 50's theme'd. They had a sock-hop, dance, dinner at the diner, and random games all night.

So, if any of you really know our family, you would know that we all love Michael Jackson. Since he's dead and gone, he wont have anymore crazy "wacko" stuff happening and we can just enjoy his music again. We, as a family, went and saw THIS IS IT, and we all really enjoyed it. Anyone would have to admit watching a 50 year old dance like that is nuts! I don't care what anybody says, but he was a very talented man! Nolan enjoys dancing like him and we all appreciate the Moonwalk! So, here's a little dedicated song list of Michael! Enjoy!

Haley fell asleep practicing her guitar.

She enjoys playing and is really fond of Taylor Swift. She recently found out that Taylor started playing guitar when she was 8 as well. She basically Idolizes her which we think is O.K.

Shaelyn, (the Elf) Haley, (the Clown) and Nolan ( the sleeping dinosaur) all enjoyed Halloween. The weather was cold and rainy but they toughed it out. Nolan actually RAN around. He was so far ahead of the girls, it was so funny. interestingly enough, he doesn't really even eat the candy, its just the excitement and the idea that he can load up on candy.
Here's Our other Babies! This is our pair of Clowns laying eggs in their aquarium. If you didn't know, Scott's hobby for the past 3-4 years has been Salt Water Aquariums, and this is Shila's "Beauty" Belle (the big black and white Black Onyx Percula) and "the beast" Quazy ( the little orange guy who is an O.R.A. misbar Percula) and their eggs ( the yellow stuff on the rocks ). We just thought we would show everybody our little fishies.

It's been a while, but for everyone who is out there and actually follows our postings, once every 6 months or so, Thank you! I'll get right to the good stuff. What we've done; Traveled to Edmonton area, it was cooler then! We went to the mall (West Ed. for all who know). We went to the Zoo in Calgary, We've been to Lethbridge and Taber Alberta. We've gone to Silverwood Theme Park in Northern Idaho. Been to Couer'D Elaine, and travelled to 3or 4 different lakes around the area. We also went through Banff National Park, which was absolutely beautiful, like always! We plan to go back down to Spokane to do a bunch of school shopping, and one last hoorah with the kids before school starts. We are also going to whoop-up days in Lethbridge and we will hit Cornfest in Taber the following weekend. It is going to be a wild ride for the next 3 weeks! We might even go to a house boat party on Lake Kookanusa. Since we live so close to places like Fernie and Kimberly B.C., I dont consider those places as get-a-ways, but they are all unique and have so much stuff to offer as well. With both our business's doing so well, its been great to get away this summer! (what recession?) For all who dont know what we do.... We own and opperate a Taco Time Cantina in Cranbrook B.C. We also have a home based business. We offer products like cell phone plans, high speed internet, long distance phone plans, roadside assistance, beauty supplies, health supplies, home securities, Dish T.V., so on, and so forth, from companies like Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile, Sprint, alltell, GE, Peter Lamas, Qwest, Comcast, Dish Network, etc. Its been a great success! You save money and earn a ton of money at the same time....what could be better? So for anyone in the states thats either thinking of getting any of these types of services, let me know, wether a new cell phone, or renewing your plan, or satelite T.V., or even just a daily vitamin, come and see what I can offer. For those who want to do the same as I'm doing, phone me! Well, I really dont have more time and I know none of you do either so here's a few pictures.....

Sorry everyone who comes to our blog and never see's anything new. We are just too busy, and I guess, just not creative enough to keep up. I know its a great way to keep everyone informed and we do appreciate everyone who visits our site. Hopefully we can do better!

Anyway, It's March and still winter here. I dont know how the weather is in everyone's neck of the woods, but I'm tired of winter! Sun and warmth, please! Shaelyn played on the girls Elementary Basketball team and they went undefeated for the second year in a row, which is pretty cool. Nolan finally got his hair cut after 3 or 4 months, and now looks like a little boy again. Haley is still just being Haley right now, which is great too. Shila and I are going down to Salt Lake at the end of March for a very short trip. Shila's best friend from Taber is getting married in the Jordan River Temple, so we are flying in for that. I dont know how many of the Family's in Utah I will get to visit, but if I dont see you, know we still think of all of you. Our lives right now are pretty much just day-to-day, same old routine, kind of stuff. So, not a whole lot of exciting things to post. By the way, everyone's baby's are darling!

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS

December is always nerve racking, trying to get all the gifts ready and packages sent. It always seems way too hectic until the day actually comes and then everything is O.K. Amongst all the presents and hooplah, our family will try to remember the true and REAL reason we have Christmas. We do hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday Season! Halloween!!!!

This year was pretty fun for Halloween! Unfortunately, Haley wasn't able to go out this year due to an infection with high fever, so Mom took over, dressed up, and went out with the kids trick-or-treating for Haley. Scott was a scary man, Shila was a pirate, Shaelyn a Lord of the Rings Elf, Haley handed out candy with Grandma, and Nolan was a Dinosaur. It was really fun! Shaelyn had a friend from out of town come in for the night with her sister and they went with us as well.

First Day of School, First Day of School! The girls had the first day of school on Sept 2nd. About as exciting as a first day of school could be. Nolan also had his 4th birthday a few days earlier on August 29th. He got a bunch of great gifts and a new Bike!( which he's now afraid to ride because its not his run bike) Summer is pretty much over now, but one highlight was definitely the fishing! The kids each caught their first FISH, Grandpa Don would be so proud!

Our family just got back home from our summer vacation to Utah. We had a wonderful time enjoying the HOT weather and seeing family we haven't seen in years! Our days were filled before we ever got down there. The first night we went to WALL-E the movie. Then, the next morning on the 4th, we went to Kaysville for the Parade(which was great), came back to Salt Lake and went to the Bee'z Game in the evening. After the game, they had fireworks in the stadium and finally we got to see a REAL fireworks show! The days following were filled with seeing family and many BB Q's, Liberty Park, The Living Planet Aquarium, shopping, seeing friends, traffic jams, eating more food, and visiting local places "we just had to go to". Flying from Spokane definitely cut our travel time and made things a bit easier as well. For every one's info, Delta will be flying direct from S.L.C. to Cranbrook in December.

The Beginning of Summer. Finally!

Hey everybody. Yes, we finally have a blog to add to the collection already out there. The kids have just finished school. Shaelyn got all A's except 1 B in P.E. How do you get a B in gym? (I guess you can't break a nail) Haley passed with flying colors as well. Haley has been in soccer, where she scored a few goals, but found her calling as the best sweeper out there. She is unstopable!

Shaelyn had her birthday on June 29th. She actually wanted to go rock climbing which was really fun for them. Nolan even made it about a foot off the ground! Shaelyn got her new bike from Mom & Dad, but we think the Wii from Papa & Gramma Gramma has been more popular! After climbing, we went back to our store and had dinner and cake.
